Design and Accessibility: the Best of Both Worlds

Digital Design World 2004 San Francisco, CA

Those faced with the task of designing an accessible web site often resort to overly simple and uninteresting designs. This should not be the case. Design and accessibility do not have to work in opposition to each other. Any site can be both attractive and accessible to a wide range of users. We’ll review examples that combine both, then cover a few larger-picture concepts that go a long way toward realizing how strong design and increased accessibility can work directly in parallel.

Co-presented by Douglas Bowman and Andrew Kirkpatrick.
